Artichoke Lamp (Dm 60cm)

Poul Henningsen

The Danish architect Poul Henningsen designed his legendary so-called „Artichoke Lamp“ in 1957. The lamp was originally commissioned for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen. For the corpus of the lamp Henningsen used single leaves, which cover the light source in rows. Because of the use of separate leaves, which are positioned in different angels, Henningsen optimized the light scatter.
